We are thrilled to share the latest developments in the mission work within the picturesque Finschaffen District of Papua New Guinea.
Seventh-Day Adventist Breakthroughs
In a region historically dominated by Lutheran influence, Seventh-Day Adventist missionaries are now making remarkable strides. Led by Pastor Raymond Pololi and Elder Lesley Roger, they embarked on an arduous journey to ignite the Advent message in the Highlands of Finschaffen.
The Journey to Boringio Village
Undeterred by challenges, Pastor Pololi and Elder Roger trekked for three hours through dense jungles to reach the remote Boringio village in upper Mape. Their commitment to spreading the Gospel was unwavering, even as their feet were relentlessly attacked by leeches.
PNG for Christ Evangelistic Meeting
Upon arrival, the missionaries wasted no time. They organized the PNG for Christ Evangelistic meeting, gathering villagers set up the stage for the meeting. With passion in their hearts and the Word of God on their lips, they shared hope, love, and the promise of salvation.
The bible verse that keeps them focus on mission to reach beyond the boundaries was; Isaiah 52:7
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns.’” (Isaiah 52:7
A Bright Future
The Finschaffen District is on the cusp of transformation. Minister Rainbo Paita, MP for Finschaffen, envisions a technology hub where communication, education, and progress converge. Plans include fiber cables, telephone lines, PABX systems, and restored mobile coverage. Additionally, an e-library and internet coverage for schools are in the works. 📡💡
Historical Roots
As we labor in this fertile land, let us remember that Johann Flierl, the first Lutheran missionary, set foot here in 1886. His legacy lives on, intertwined with the lush landscapes and resilient hearts of Finschaffen. 🌺
