Fisika Adventist Students Association Officially opened its 1st Biannual Convention in Finschhafen Technical School

In a momentous celebration marking a new chapter for student ministry in the Morobe Province, the Fisika Adventist Students Association  successfully launched its first Biannual Convention on December 29, 2023. The event was held at the Finschhafen Technical School and was filled with enthusiasm and excitement, drawing participants from across the region.

A Historic Gathering

Fisika Adventist Students Association President Mr. Sumba Jack highlight the purpose, aim and vision of the Ministry and Convention.

The convention kicked off with a vibrant atmosphere as students, educators, and community leaders gathered to witness this historic event. The Master of Ceremony, Elder Mathias Samagai, a respected elder of the Fisika Adventist Students Association, highlighted the significance of this gathering for student ministry in the Morobe Province, signalling a renewed focus on faith, fellowship, and community service. Guest speakers included several distinguished guests, such as District Directors from Finschhafen, Tewae Siassi, and Kabwum, alongside Keynote Speaker & Fisika Region Senior Pastor,Penny Hoilee, who emphasized the importance of students Ministry and comment Fisika Region was labelled as the last frontier in Morobe Mission, but today he saw young vibrant students willing to take on the advent faith to every campus in Fisika Region. Has he spoke with emotion and tears to see young students united to ignite the students Ministry in the region. Other notable speakers included Ricky Bosa CO from Gagidu Health Center, MOASA President Mawe Henry, and Dr. Arnold Tiyo, who offered valuable insights into the role of students in ministry.


Messages of Commitment and Service

Dr. Arnold Tiyo shared an inspiring message about the structure of student ministry, urging attendees to remain faithful in their service to God and their communities. "As students, you have the potential to be powerful agents of change," he stated, motivating the attendees to embrace their roles with passion and commitment.

Adding to the spiritual ambiance, Pastor Joseph Jonathan led a short devotion, encouraging participants to deepen their relationship with God and to strive for excellence in their academic and spiritual pursuits.

In a ceremonial moment that underscored the gravity of the occasion, Pastor Moses Wai officially declared the convention open, signaling the commencement of an exciting program filled with workshops, discussions, and fellowship activities designed to empower and inspire the students in their spiritual journey as they anchor in faith in Jesus and empower to soar above all negative influence this world offers.
